All I had to do was add rel="me" code somewhere in a site, and boom. Verified. I put mine in https://www.renwillis.com but it could be in anything to get that green check.

Yeah, if Mastodon does want to do verified users here, probably need a better way, eh?

I've been trying to get mastodon verification from a website I built. I added the micro format rel="me" backlink in the footer of the site. But it's not showing as verified. Why is this? Is there a delay in it appearing?
