J'ai adorรฉ le film #starshiptroopers de #verhoeven et รงa fait un moment que je cherchais le bouquin. Ben j'ai du mal ร faire la part des choses entre l'ironie et le vรฉritable discours d'extrรชme-droite.
Et je pense plutรดt pour le second. Ce qui donne une idรฉe du talent du Hollandais Violent.
Au passage, illustration de #Siudmak dans un style que je ne connaissais pas.

IMO Paul Verhoeven's inability to get mainstream audiences to understand Starship Troopers as a critique of fascism is very informative about a) the limits of satire and b) the anti-rational, highly aesthetic appeal of fascism.
Normies just find the fascist vibe cool, even when Verhoeven is blatantly yelling "look how they eagerly participate in creating a dystopian hellscape for themselves!"
