It’s ! 🦣🐪🦥🦫🐴🐟🍃 This beautiful Bison occidentalis skull is housed at the Anoka County Historical Society. Found in a black dirt pit near Andover it was donated in 1977 along with related vertebrae, long bones, pelvis, ribs, shoulder blades, and carpals.

The skull’s horn span across the cores is 75cm, nearly 30 inches!

IT'S ! 🐟🐪🦣 XIPHACTINUS OR ICHTHYODECTES, THAT IS THE QUESTION. THIS VERTEBRA WAS FOUND ON A GRAVEL BAR IN SOUTHERN MINNESOTA BY A FRIEND. It's !🐟🐪🦣 Xiphactinus or Ichthyodectes, that is the question. This vertebra was found on a gravel bar in Southern Minnesota by a friend.

Xiphactinus and the smaller Ichthyodectes were 3-6 meter fish that swam the Cretaceous Western Interior Seaway which covered the central United States for over 40 million years. 🦫🦬🍃

Now donated to the Science Museum of Minnesota.

Look, can we just all agree that vertebra are too complicated, there are too many of them, and no reasonable society should expect someone to draw them all properly no matter how much you pay them?
