As the #opioid crisis rages, companies are on a hunt for new, nonaddictive #pain #medicines. A new study by Boston-based biotech #Vertex may be making headway with its compound #VX548, a pill that aims to relieve pain in wake of surgery. Highest dose of compound offered greater pain relief than placebo after bunion removal or tummy tuck. Not necessarily talking about the individual pipeline stages i.e. stencil shader, but more like conceptually what happens when the vertices are broken up into fragments. The secret is that there's an interpolation step where any value in a vertex array object attribute will be interpolated out between vertices, which wasn't obvious.

I really wanted a Vertex back in the day. Mainly for the port of the arcade game Scramble that is shown on the right.
Closest I ever got was seeing the Vertex in the catalog (Sharper Image?).
