Glad to see the #VHEMT (Voluntary Human Extinction Movement) getting some recent press and attention.

I've been a card-carrying member since the mid-90s. I don't agree with 100% of their views, but I think their core message is solid : STOP MAKING BABIES IN A DYING WORLD.

If only they would update their ancient Geocities-looking website.

@Dodo @heinmax Merkwürdigerweise wird das als „Problem“ bezeichnet, dass der Mensch möglicherweise seine Lebensgrundlagen zerstört. Soll er doch. Die Biosphäre wird sich erholen, wenn der Mensch ausstirbt. #VHEMT

Mit >8.000.000.000 #Menschen wird unser #Kollaps noch heftiger ausfallen.
Selbst ohne #EatTheRich sind unser aller Auswirkungen auf den Planeten katastrophal, siehe #Biomasse, #Fußabdruck, #PlanetareGrenzen etc.
Da sind #Klimakatastrophe & #Artensterben nur ein Nebenprodukt im effizienten Ausbeutungssystem namens #Kapitalismus.

Sowas ist bei den meisten Leuten einfach unbeliebt, weil die Menschen ihre Lieblingsspezies sind & Eltern verständlicherweise emotional befangen.

Ich finde die Idee #VHEMT .org ganz gut, alle sollen noch ein schönes Leben haben und dann: Klappe zu, "weiser" Trockennasenaffe tot. 😁
Aber wie ich meine Spezies kenne, wird's mal wieder in einem Chaos oder gar #nthe enden. 🙄
