Pondering the price of the #VicterReaderStream product line, I realized that lots of specialized tech for #blind people is very expensive when it really doesn't need to be. I could buy two cheap Android phones that can do more than the Stream can for the same cost. I'm in a good position where I don't need specialized tech to function, but not everyone is like me. Some people can't use touch-screen phones or prefer to have single-purpose devices. Why can't they be cheaper? #Accessibility #A11y

I have the first generation #VicterReaderStream. Does anyone remember the optional Soft Pack Addon you could purchase for additional features? If it's still available somewhere, I'd like to get my hands on it. On first glance it's on the #Humanware website, but the page only says Victer Reader Stream Soft Pack, then 2 unlabeled links that say window.close(); that do nothing when clicked, and their copyright information below that. #Accessibility #A11Y #Blind
