Taken years ago, before #Dad became disabled & needed fulltime caregiving. I used to invite my #parents to attend some #sports & other events that I worked at - they always got best seats & opportunities to meet local #mascots /celebs.
My #MomAndDad with #MartyTheMarmot - our local pro #hockey #marmot mascot. Wearing old #SalmonKings #jersey . The team's now #VictoriaRoyals .

2 years ago, took my #Mom to her first hockey game in #VictoriaBC at #SaveOnMemorialCenter . I won tix & ended up getting rinkside seats because I reunited w/old friends before game started & they're season tix holders. Mom loved it! She didn't really understand hockey but 20 minutes in, started cheering loudly for local team. She loved tossing our plush donations on ice too 😊
