Our #amtrak Northeast #regional is towing a #viewliner sleeper car from Boston to New York tonight, maybe to have work done at Sunnyside Yard.

Wouldn't it be amazing if sleeper car service were actually offered on the #northeastcorridor ?

#amtrak #viewliner cars are used on the East cost, where tunnel clearance (eg in and out of NYC) prevent the larger superliners from running. They are single level. They were mostly built in 1995 and then from 2012-2021.
The older ones have toilets in the room which is a little surreal (and remember to close the curtains cuz you're at platform level) but pooping with a view is great!
The new ones only have a sink and shared bathroom facilities.
