We really need to talk honestly about the issue of #vigilantism in #secondlife. Way back in 2007, we had the #copybot scare. Then we had the JLU "anti-griefer" thugs and the various "alt detection systems". And now we have - openly on influential forums, no less - a "mesh police", a self-appointed militia of dipshits who take it upon themselves to file DMCAs & destroy ppl on the *suspicion* that their items either look like other in-world things or were downloaded from SketchFab etc. FFS.
