When I first read the draft I knew precisely that I wanted to draw a cover artwork in an #ArtNouveau style, preserving the atmosphere and feeling I got while I was reading.

It was a joy to draw something for the #Vikings fandom again, since this was one of the first fandoms I joined on tumblr, and I will always remember it fondly.

This illustration took some effort, because I had a distinct composition and painting style in mind. It pushed me outside my comfort zone, which was very challenging, but I wanted to create something worthy of the fanfiction it is meant to illustrate: a gorgeously written story that has a fascinating take on the #Vikings world we know.
