Avangrid plans to continue building the first US offshore wind farm with the first pilings installed this summer, but also plans to default on its existing delivery contracts.
Seems to bode poorly for New England ratepayers.

Right now, winds are brisk off Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket. The 100 GE Hallide X turbines that will be installed starting this summer would produce about 950 MW of power; about 7.5% of current system load and displacing 20% of our gas consumption.
