I couldn't resist picking up, for just a few bucks, this 23 year old Fuji Finepix S1 Pro.

This camera is wild. 3mp "Super" CCD sensor. 3 different KINDS of batteries (7 total). Nikon mount (body based on the F60). $3,500 when new.

Had a bent CF card pin, but Ive fixed that with a magnifying lens and a small flathead screwdriver.

It also wouldn't write to the 2gb card I use for the D1, but DOES write to a 128mb card!

So not only is the digicam movement (using 10-20+ year old digital cameras) a thing but I've just seem the term 'digital primitivism' in regards to actual or simulated lo-res images ala early Nokia phones.
Maybe nostalgia is all we have to look forward to now?
