You might try #vintagestory - it has a strong resemblance to Minecraft* but goes for its very own esthetic, with a lot of detailed textures for rock, wood, flowers, animals, and edibles. Plus some dark lovecraftian influence.

*The game had a proof of concept implemented as a total conversion of TFC, which itself was a modpack for Minecraft.

The game now has its very own game in C#/dotnet.

The top one was right after we spent the night in a cave and got viciously attacked by a brown bear on the top of the mountain. Luckily we both survived! The bottom one was weeks later during a long trek south to explore new lands! You can tell the bottom picture is further along since we upgraded from linen sacks and bismuth bronze tools to leather backpacks and meteoric iron tools.
