High tech solutions are in vogue around here. This old jar makes sure that the torrential rain doesn't get into the tractor engine.

I've gone through a few, forgetting they were there when I started the engine. It's amazing how high they can go before shattering on the bonnet!

The tractor is a 1970s Leyland 384. Starts when she feels like it. Similar to myself.
