#Seattle: know of any ensembles looking for #violin or #viola players? Especially ones with diverse repertoire, or just not “traditional” stuff at all? I played in a disco/soul/funk orchestra at one point, I did music from The Band and Dave Matthews Band at my last pre-pandemic show, and I love jazz and fiddling. I’d love to get way out there again.

Which is kind of funny, because I've had a private teacher for all of 3 months, I never studied music outside of middle/high school orchestra, and I can't remember most of the pieces my past orchestras played. 😅
Another thing: submitting video recordings of yourself playing for auditions. You think hearing your own voice is bad? I can only imagine how excruciating watching myself play will be...
