Before I acquired the Harley Benton RB600 and RB612 guitars, I decided to try my luck with a new bass guitar - and what better to get after the somewhat disappointing Stagg than the HB Beatbass? This very decent clone of the iconic Hofner Violin Bass was perfect to properly learn to play the instrument. This is my introduction.
We live in Germany, in Bavaria. We came from England 11 years ago. I worked at Hōfner the guitar company for all of our time here but I am mostly retired now. I know a lot about the Hōfner Violin Bass and Paul McCartney’s use of this model in particular.
These days we are mostly into travel but I still retain a big interest in electric guitars. It would be good to meet some like minded people.
