I found this new comedian tonight. His name is Vir Das. He’s smart, funny, insightful, blah, blah, blah. Whatever. Dime a dozen these days.

But compared to most South Asian comics I’ve seen he does two things very differently.

1. He’s angry. Not bemused. Not slightly irritated. He’s pissed.
2. He’s proud of India. He doesn’t see what’s so great about western culture.

He’s a very western comic in that regard. To me. But he’s sharp as shit.
