Beautiful sunny day for Running On Native Lands #HalfMarathon on Algonquin territory. #VirtualRace

I did almost the same route as last year and missed the exact same pace by 2 seconds per km! Blew nutrition and hydration, as is tradition! But I had fun, I dropped into my groove right away, and stayed there until the end.

Nice way to cap off a winter of base! One week until the build for #SulpherSprings 50km kicks off!

I decided I needed something to motivate me to exercise in the #NewYear, so I've entered the #Montaine #VirtualSpineRace, "Challenger South" distance again. I need to cover 174 km on foot during January to complete it. Hoping I don't bust my knee in the first week this year, forcing me to walk rather than run 80% of it 😂

I woke early and headed out for the Zombies, Run! Halloween 2019 Virtual Race 10K. I ran the 5k in October and had been waiting for the opportunity for a longer run. Running along the water at sunrise was thrilling.

Zombies, Run! Spring 2019 Virtual Race

I was low on sleep but this afternoon I decided to run the Spring 2019 Virtual Race from Zombies, Run! I wasn't at my peak because I have a 3-day-old baby and all that entails and haven't been running in the week leading up to her birth, but I was happy with my pace considering the situation.

Run with the Ancestors

Today I ran the Run with the Ancestors virtual race.  It was good to get out for a winter run after avoiding the sidewalks because of ice. I still slipped some, but it was overall a strong run. The virtual race was overall well done, but some of the phrasing in the narration seemed glaringly out of touch and colored by a colonial view.
