I look a real pillock, but the bike is beautiful. This Yamaha TT500 was my daily ride from 1981-1984, when I lived in the central Philippines.

A big single enduro, kick start only. It was a magnificent machine, and probably the most exciting motorbike of the eight I've owned.

Riding that bike was all that kept me sane during a very difficult time in my life.

@DocCarms @cendawanita From Aklan, in the #Visayas region we have, Binakol na Manok, which is traditionally cooked inside #bamboo nodes, or coconut shell halves. Very similar to Tinola, except for using young #coconut water (#buko) instead of just water, which makes it slightly sweet.

If my rusty #Binisaya is correct, "Binakol" means to place in a coconut shell (which itself is called "bagol").

Another few days on Siquijor. White sand beaches, clear water, clean air, rolling hills, virgin forest, panoramic views, pristine waterfalls, cheap eateries, empty roads, friendly people. Basically paradise on earth.
