A little briefing on what #4mStorytelling is. It's made of 4 Modules (hence the "4M"). Each of those has a main component, the so-called "Graphs." I'll be introducing them in future posts. There are also pieces used across the Graphs – these are the Elements and Stickers.

As a visual & tactile #tool, it has mobile components that help you #visualise your #thoughts. With it, you can tell a #story to yourself & the people you work with. As a #method, it facilitates a #pragmatic way of #thinking.

I recently listened to an episode of #RutherfordAndFry and discovered that 97% of people actually #visualise things in their head.

Well... 97% of my life is now friends and family saying 'so what happens when you think of X' and refusing to believe me when I say 'nothing'

Are there really 100 different ways to #visualise even a *very* small dataset?

As the intro so eloquently says:

“Every time we turn a set of data into a visual depiction, hundreds of design choices have to be made to make the data tell the best story possible”….

I really enjoyed scanning this. It’s not done in #rstats but it’s the sort of thing that is probably of interest to the community.

Edit: Meanwhile I read this #longread. It's a brilliant article about a rotten system of #economics in which #employee #rights and people are no longer worth anything, and the richest of the rich can (still) do anything with impunity. EM is only one of them.

@amoroso I wonder if there is a #disassembler that can #visualise the instructions and the #flow of the programme with some graphic symbols that make it easier to understand the #code without reading each instruction separately. E.g. some icons representing a class of instructions (move, shift, etc...).
