#Angular v16.2 just dropped this week with lots of cool new features.

On the tooling side we've got:
✅ Performance improvements for our experimental #esbuild + #vite stack.
✅ A new, experimental "application builder" which supports #CSR, #SSR, and #SSG all in one with an improved devserver and faster build times.
✅ Automatic injection of preload hints for #JS and #CSS used in the initial load.

There's even more beyond tooling and lots more cool stuff coming. Very excited about what's in the pipeline for v17!

Just got a brand new #Vite based #React app running and integrated into our project's #DockerCompose with hot module reloading for local dev.

As the project and team that I'm working with continues to grow, I'm trying to focus on making sure that we have easy pathways to dev the whole project and so far, Docker Compose has delivered.

It seems that I'm making progress in the #singlespa world.

Ok. So in the end I stopped using #Vite and moved to #Rollup. For my use case (bundling a library) it is much more flexible and easier to use.

With my scarce knowledge of frontend I can't get rid of #React, but that one is a bit easier to deal with once I have the bundler in place.

Any expert around on #Vite / #Rollup and #React #Reactjs ?

I'm a complete noob on frontend development, and I'm struggling to understand something that is happening in a project I'm just setting up ( https://github.com/Coder-Spirit/beautiful-tree ):

- When I run `pnpm run build`, the output contains a lot of code from React, even though I tried to mark it as external.
- I see that the output has "dev-only" code, with conditionals that check for NODE_ENV... not nice.

Is there any way to fix any of those 2 problems?

@rina Die Anwendung lief ja weiter auf 5.8 oder so, und ich habe nur Bugfixes gemacht, wenn was war.

Und inzwischen ist webpack out, #vite höre ich zum ersten Mal und mit Inertia, Livewire und Co muss ich mich erstmal auseinander setzen.

Ganz davon zu schweigen, dass ich ne CSS Null bin und #tailwind zwar kenne, aber halt nix damit hinbekomme. 🤣

Das wird ein wilder Ritt, aber zumindest habe ich jetzt schonmal ein paar Punkte nachgelesen und es ist nur noch halb so schlimm. 😅
