Poor Anna Karina ... I mean, I know existential suffering is kind of New Wave cinema M.O., but It would be nice if one of her characters could just have a nice day for once. Go for a walk, make a collage, head out to a movie with friends; something a little lighter than usual descents into prostitution or Heart of Darkness-esque examinations of the nature of human cruelty...
