🇪🇺 The #DigitalServicesAct requires all online platforms & search engines operating in the EU to publish their *precise* user numbers today.

Tomorrow is #VLOP day:

The EU Digital Services Act #DSA "requires providers of online platforms and of online search engines to publish [...], by 17 February 2023, information on the average monthly active recipients of their service in the Union, calculated as an average over the period of the past six months".

Interesting to see these numbers in and by themselves. Even more interesting to see which platforms are 'very large' and will have VLOP status and obligations.

If you're following the #DSA where will you go to check on all the monthly active user numbers that online platforms #vlop will have to publish by next Friday, Feb 17? Is there already a central list or do I have to check every single one for an announcement?

Wann ist eine Platform eine "sehr große Online-Plattform (#VLOP) und wann ist eine Suchmaschine eine "sehr große Online-Suchmaschine" (VLOSE) nach dem Digital Services Act?

Im Grundsatz, wenn der Dienst "eine durchschnittliche monatliche Zahl von mindestens 45 Millionen aktiven Nutzern in der Union" hat (Art. 33 Abs. 1 DSA).

Wie diese Zahlen zu berechnen waren, war allerdings unklar. Gestern hat die EU-Kommission dazu Hinweise veröffentlicht:
