. Hydrate your voice/vocal folds/larynx by drinking water 2 days before. The water you drink on the day makes your mouth feel better but doesn’t actually reach your vocal folds for another 2 days. So, remember to drink moderate amounts of water on a regular basis.

02 Less is more where your is concerned. It should NEVER hurt. If it does, either you are working it too hard (Don’t do that) or you have an infection or a strain (rest, and if it doesn’t get better in a few days see a medical practitioner).
