#VoiceDictation inside of the #Office suite has recently received a massive upgrade. It's also had an additional twenty-five languages added to it to support as many people as possible.

The voice dictation feature is perfect if you have an impairment that makes typing difficult, or you just prefer to get your thoughts down via voice.

When it comes to accessibility what is the number one thing you want from big tech in 2023?

For me it’s an easy one - significantly smarter, more accurate, and productive to use voice dictation, on both phones and laptops, on Apple, Google and Microsoft tech. Voice dictation capabilities could and should be better, less frustrating, and more productive to use

@isleofeigg I do a lot of volunteering, helping "older " folk to use technology. It's a laugh as half of them are younger than me.

But I now always show them how to dictate messages, emails, postings on social media … dead easy once you master clear separations between words, and punctuation. You can then edit the mistakes using a keyboard as usual.

I'm sure you can see how that may partly answer your question …

it's interesting to see how the voice of my writing changes when I am using or have to use #VoiceDictation for #Accessibility. I promise it isn't that I am deliberately using large words because they are the only words but sometimes voice dictation accurately understand a longer word much better than it does any simpler or shorter equivalent vocabulary. #AmWriting #A11y #Disabled
