Hi fellow users. I tried to get a text read by the voice. Unfortunately above about 140 words per minute, it jumps directwy to about 210. There seems to be no chance for anything in between. Is this a bug that should be reported, or is there something I should do differently? @mastoblind@gup.pe

In Reader, does anyone know if it's possible to use Backreferences for group captures in a regular-expression-based pronunciation dictionary replacement? I've tried `\1`, `$1`, and `\k<1>`, but the syntax is always passed directly through to the synthesiser without the text captured by the group.

You know, there’s something about just plopping a file into Voice Dream Reader and just, getting audio out. No need to worry about “will this continue to talk when the screen shuts off?” Or “Will I be able to easily turn the page?” Or “will my focus stay put in the text area?” or “Well what about this format?” or “how will I keep my place?” Just plop it in and listen. Simple, easy, and just, one of the things I love about the third-party apps on iOS and Mac we have access to.

Can someone explain to me why on journal articles is … more often than not … not so hot?

Or at least an easy workflow to fix or work around the issue?

My extracted look like my pdf is on acid. And not in a fun way.
