Itās constitutional recognition that is important here, being enshrined in the constitution means that Aboriginal affairs do not continue to be a political football. Aboriginalās get a voice on issues that affect them. It is āadvice to parliament and after all it is advice, it can be listened to but it does not need to be heededā
