Today was a good day for #AbyssalLinux. I got a lot of basic cli commands setup in abysstrap, got the abyssal-package repo to be internally cloned into abysstrap. It feels quite nice.

Alright. I've decided I am actually going to do it. I am going to make Void Linux Mobile. I was on the fence beforehand because I was thinking "I am just a lowly Linux nerd. How could I ever achieve such a feat?" But with the trail having already been blazed for me by the likes of #postmarketOS #mobian and #mobilenixos it seems feasible. Don't expect anything grandiose out of this. It will just be a small hobby project.

I am considering using toybox in the Void Mobile (I really need a better name) initramfs. What do you all think? My second option is busybox, but I don't know if that would be best if size is a consideration.

So the issue I'm having with the latest #Qutebrowser not playing GIFs is to do with the gst plugins good, bad, ugly and so on only being for the QT5 backend and I'm running with the latest QT6.
If i force Qutebrowser to start using the QT5 backend everything works fine.

PS: I'm using #VoidLinux

I put installed #VoidLinux OS on this tiny USB drive (using another USB disk with live cd) on my windows laptop. This way I get to switch freely between the two as needed. Kind of the dual boot but I get to carry the Void around!

First time running void. I really like it’s minimalist approach and not running systemd. I heard it was created by a netbsd dev the design make me feel home. The installation script felt half cooked, maybe I should have gone fully manual installation though.

I was bored and decided to make a Void Linux loading symbol. Posting it here because I think it looks cool.

Started a fresh since moving from Arch to #VoidLinux and re did my #Qtile #Wayland #Dotfiles . I have also included in the README how I install Qtile from their git repo.
There may be mistakes but hopefully I've got most already.
