I know this is practically talking to the void but honestly i am a fan of machine learning and algorithms. Part of my misanthropy is having little faith in humans and firmly believing that ML/AI integration does in fact make things better. Honestly if I could rip out the human in me and replace or supplement it with AI I full and wholeheartedly would in a heart beat.

That being said, not having ML and algorithms on social media platforms like here is imho vastly missing out.

I legitimately believe over 40% of the topics, friends, and interests I discovered on Twitter were actually algorithmically directed.

I will miss it dearly.

People saying that this has the same feels as old school hacking groups and BBSes and IRC definitely did not have the same experience I did with those.

Growing up in the VX scene in my teenage years in the shadows of giants vastly dwarfs anything this platform could ever offer, and I'm quite grateful for those intimate years of opportunity I had.
