We strongly condemn the words used by Kingston Independent Residents Group (KIRG) about the voluntary sector in the borough

Without specifying they have condemned charities here as “second rate”

The group have two cllrs in the borough but have shown themselves unsupportive of such a valuable resource here

as much as advertisers are concerned about the reputational damage caused on social media community led organisations are also feeling this. I don't think sites like Mastodon are *the* answer tho (there aren't many #VoluntarySector people here) - they're an answer and one of a number of tools.

Social media is the stuff we create not necessarily the platform - twitter made that easy, for a brief while only
