Today on #TroveAustralia I’m looking at another side to my #FamilyHistory research, and the #LimeKilns and #LimeFactory one part of my family operated in #Adelaide and #PortLincoln for many years. (Founded in 1870!) Who knew #Lime was such fascinating stuff? Not just in agriculture and gardening, but necessary for building, too.

I have been busy on #Trove again, looking at articles on the #LeylandTrojan. My Dad restored a 1925 #Trojan ute, and it’s the most complicated form of simplicity you’ve ever seen! So today’s photo is my Dad from about 20 years ago, with the scale model he built of his #VintageCar to run on the #ModelRailway at #WaggaWagga. #TroveAustralia #TroveAu #Voluntrove

Today’s photo is another #CarnivorousPlant from partner’s collection. This is a Cape Sundew, Drosera capensis. These generally have purple flowers, but partner also has one with no anthocyanin, which has white flowers, and no red colouring in the leaves and blobs. #Drosera #Sundew #GardeningAu

I have spent several happy hours this afternoon on #Trove being a happy little #Voluntrove and editing as I read about historical #pineapple gluts. (Thanks to @sister_ratched for pointing out that we’re currently experiencing another oversupply of this wonderful fruit 🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍) I’m finding many fabulous recipes, and some… well, I’m not sure pineapple and beetroot puffs are my style? The correspondence is fascinating, as are the “Women’s Pages.” Onwards!
