FPTP is a very flawed system.

Assume 3 parties A, B, C

A. 25%
B. 35%
C. 40% of the votes

In FPTP A & B representing 60% of the voters can hardly count on their views being taken into account by C.

Which is why FPTP in practice always devolves into a 2 party system.

A better system is using Proportional Voting with Ranked Choice Voting.
