I understand that many are angry with #elonmusk about the #twitter thing. And so many posts fill my feed regarding the #voxpopuli #voxdei quote and it's explanation and how it's a reference to the madness of the crowd, as if to say that a multitude of voices can not be trusted.

Does it not strike one strange that it is 'the people' who are, with 'their voice', flocking in droves from twitter to #mastodon instances, mostly dot.social? The #fediverse was built for the express purpose to provide a place for all to have a voice for those who want to listen to it. Are they saying that the #twittermigration is a #madness of the crowd as well while they seem to be intent that someone else doesn't deserve the right to have a #voice ?

I fear that those migrants are going to be #disappointed at all the voices out here. It's kind of the point, don't you think?
