We had a blast today at #VivaCalleSJ in Japantown! We had great pizza and beer at Jtown Pizza, and got to stop by the #VTA booth. It was great to see that so many people had stopped by and given feedback about what they’d like to see in transit in #SanJose and #SantaClaraCounty. Unsurprisingly, the most votes when to more and faster transit. People want #PublicTransit!

I was fortunate enough to see the Beyoncé concert in Santa Clara last night, and it was an incredible show! I was also *very* happy to see #VTA operators transport everyone away from the stadium in an efficient and professional manner. Seriously efficient, by the way. Our friends had to walk across the parking lot to get back to their car; by the time they were even pulling out of the parking lot, my wife and I had already gotten out of the stadium, back to our car (from the light rail), and started on the way to In-n-Out! I definitely recommend #PublicTransportation getting to and from Levi’s Stadium.

Also, don’t be intimidated by long lines at the station; they move quick because the light rail cars can hold so many people!

#SFBART, #CalTrain, #Amtrak, #vta, #sfmuni, etc., all could do so much better at supporting #hardofhearing folk. the emphasis is on communicating via sound, to include #visuallyimpaired folx but the HoH facilities are at best poor--including the broken, unmaintained systems.

Improving #HoH accomodation would also benefit #actuallyautistic folx who must use hearing protection on trains, buses, & at stations.

I was able to join the “Ask VTA” zoom call the other night and I was so happy to hear that #VTA has folks who really care about light rail! They’re working hard to make it better. There’s also a contingent of riders who are passionate about light rail service (like me) 🚊
