Well played the massive #w3w marketing team though - a few articles like that are well worth the annual £30-40m loss of the last couple of years
Penetrating analysis of #w3w by the FT (needs free registration) https://www.ft.com/content/036e9470-97cd-4e7f-84d7-4262e457d17b
Highlights:
Cumulative losses of £130m since 2015
Spent £50 for every £1 of revenue generated
Total funds raised £180m
Just raised £7m via Crowdcube last month but would not predict when the company would reach profitability
MD appears to be doing well
I am baffled that people continue to invest in #w3w but I am old fashioned about things like revenue, cost control & profitability. Will this end badly?
I watched this scene from #Blindspot far too often.

Today I realise how completely out of touch I am with Tech valuations. Every geogeek's favourite #w3w was allegedly valued at £250m in 2020 and has "gone from strength to strength" since then according to CEO Chris Sheldrick. https://www.cityam.com/what3words-says-post-brexit-tech-talent-space-is-slicker-than-expected/
Well you can blow me down with a feather, I just can't imagine what these young VC's are smoking nowadays
