#disney owns #wabctv in #NewYork. On the noon #news they mentioned the dispute between #houseofmouse and #spectrum over the rates Spectrum pays to carry Disney channels. Okay, that’s newsworthy. Then, the #anchors went on to quote from Disney’s official statement and directed folks to a Disney run website to “learn more.” Nothing was said about Spectrum’s case. I’m a #DIS shareholder, but the lack of ethics bugs me. Believe me, #Charter (Spectrum’s parent) has a side of the story, too.

Is it too much to ask that #writers and on-air #localnews “talent” in #nyc have a basic familiarity with our major #roadways ? In announcing a reopening of the #BQE after a morning #accident #wabctv noon #anchor David Novarro said the accident occurred at “Tillary Avenue.” It’s Tillary STREET! Hardly a minor thoroughfare in #Downtown #brooklyn. It may be a minor thing, but I find it irksome. #news #newyorkcity
