As someone "working" in the climate activism space, it's incredibly frustrating seeing fossil gas companies talking about supplying clean energy. When they are supplying gas, which is literally a greenhouse gas. That would be predictable propaganda if I didn't constantly find that my politicians repeat it in their speeches.

Take a look at this speech from earlier this year by Federal Resources Minister Madeleine King

minister.industry.gov.au/.../s...

Was it written by a Gas industry spokesperson? is Minister King one?

It isn't any better at the State Level. With the recent actions by Disrupt Burrup Hub, we have seen Premier Cook display a shocking lack of understanding about how the Gas industry is driving climate change and what climate activists are actually asking for.
Didn't anyone find it strange that they both just casually called Meg O'Neil to express sympathies? They have sympathies with Meg because they are effectively colleagues, they have a personal relationship they move in the same circles. Did they personally call the people of the Fitzroy River Basin to personally give their sympathies when climate change-fuelled rains washed their houses away?

Looks as unbalanced as the lower house. Red is the Labour party (left wing workers party) . Blue the liberals (right wing big business used to be in power) and green the nationals (country party).

The white ones are empty, I guess that's for future expansion.

Let's kick off with this:

Why tf do these boomers keep insisting everyone must be miserable in order to succeed? And why tf is so conservative? Have some compassion, mate. is so depressing right now.

, new platform. I'm doing up a proper / / with my tags so I can get amongst it properly. I've come from Twitter, where I did some fun work swearing at and getting hassled by LNP senators after giving evidence at the robodebt inquiry. I'm an unashamed participant, giving media interviews from the comfort of my couch.

So! I am here for especially things like and other issues, especially etc, activism because I'm stuck in a decrepit shithole making my health worse, to rant about crippled universal healthcare, because is a conservative shitshow atm, rights and not just for , equity, strictly (I will mercilessly ridicule TERFs and SWERFs), as it disproportionately affects already disadvantaged people, and I will need as a palate cleanser between whingetoots. I'm a staunch supporter and consider state & federal to have become class traitors in the global push towards a capitalist dystopia that leaves vulnerable people behind.

Obviously I'm a raging progressive, and I look forward to getting to know more of the same because I like my echo chamber loud xox :blobcatboop:
