It is nearly #beltane so the chidlren at forest school made preparations, creating mini maypoles, Green man clay faces, we collected hawthorn leaves and made tea, told Beltane stories and sung songs. Starting to think about next term (yes i know its Easter hols but when else is there time to think?) I have 17 (soon to be 20) children aged 4-10, mix of kindergarten & home ed. Re-looking at class 1-4 themes to see what can be incorporated. Today I had a lovely 1st day back after half term, 8.30am lit a fire and tended for 2 hours, sang some songs, helped children make Martinmass lanterns, had a story telling session using children’s tshirt pictures as inspiration, role played the monsters are getting us, picked and podded some beans to save for next years planting and tidied the wood store #BestJobEver #EarlyYears #WaldorfSteiner #Kindergarten #NatureConnection
