Somehow my local #Wallabag instance wasn't getting along with Pocket and the imports kept failing. Well time to power up Python and let an assortment of libraries do the heavy lifting for me!

Used libraries:

Pro tip: Pocket is very liberal accepting API calls ... I did not get rate limited even when downloading about 500 entries in one call with detailType set to complete (so I could fetch the tags along with every entry).

About #wallabag display settings (font family, light / dark mode, etc.), how should it be saved?

In database or in session (in order to have a different config for each device)?

Whoa! #Wallabag discovery: Links to Stackoverflow & friends get beautifully handled: Link to a specific reply yields a saved article with _just_ the contents of that reply.

No site navigation bleeding in, no comments, no random buttons. Just the content you pointed it at.

@silvermoon82 @Tempos I've been a day one #Firefox user and stuck with it throughout. Regarding #bookmarks #selfhosting though: give #wallabag some consideration too.

So I’ve tried a number of different #ebook & #comic readers over the years, but I just uninstalled my remaining alternatives.

Somehow I had entirely missed KOReader and it really renders everything else I tried pointless. The chosen domain is apt. KOReader does rock: http://koreader.rocks/

Excellent rendering & input, super customisable, great format support, integrates with #Wallabag, well supported & developed.

#wallabag 2.7.0 will be so cool with lots of new features (see https://github.com/wallabag/wallabag/milestone/79?closed=1).

The next one I will work on is a bin 🗑️ feature https://github.com/wallabag/wallabag/issues/6635

Ich nutze schon seit Ewigkeiten #Wallabag zum Speichern von Websites, die ich später lesen will. Ich archiviere dort auch viele Artikel. Jetzt habe ich mir #Raindrop.io angeschaut und finde es sehr praktisch, dass man dort Ordner anlegen kann. Das würde ich mir auch bei Wallabag wünschen. Aber da passiert in der Entwicklung leider nicht so viel. Und über die #iOS-App muss man nicht viele Worte verlieren, die ist leider nicht so gut. Schade, denn Wallabag ist eine tolle Selfhosting-Lösung.

@feoh @wallabag@tcit.fr I use #wallabag on the smallest hetzner vps (4GB RAM, 2 cores) without problems. And other services such as #miniflux and a non federating #peertube also run on this same machine quite satisfactorily (well peertube not so great but it works). All installed through #yunohost

@frigoligo @wallabag It would be nice if highlight function is added. I mean, at least just in-app, not necessarily synced to the server. Not any third party apps that supports @wallabag now has a highlight function #wallabag

Hello world! There is a time when you just have to take flight so here it is. Frigoligo is an #opensource multiplatform #wallabag client.

While the app is still rough around the edges it is already usable and available as an open beta!

Ça fait plaisir de revenir dans le monde de l' #opensource avec 1774 contributions en 12 mois.

Comme j'arrive à être mieux organisé à la mairie (ça fait 5 ans, il serait temps tout de même !), je me suis dégagé du temps pour contribuer sur #wallabag également.

1346 contributions en 2023. Pas fait autant depuis 2017 (l'année la plus productive était 2016).
