One dance out left. Some of the exchange group would like me to play them an “English waltz” at it but apparently the samples I offered them, Harry Gidley’s from the West Country and the Veleta as played in Suffolk don’t count… I think they really just want slow and a bit less oom-pah-pah feeling?
Ideas and advice on how to make a more English, anyone?

Musical Interlude: Here's a nice bit of lighter classical music, a piece from a now-almost-forgotten ballet, "The Haunted Ballroom," about a family curse and loosely based on Poe. But the music itself isn't quite as Gothic as you might expect.

I asked my friend what hymns she liked so I could pick one and write an arrangement in her honor.
One she chose was "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day"...but the meter of "My Redeemer Lives" matched the tune. So i did that so it could be sung year round.

Thought some composers'd like to see progress on the sheet music. Details in alt text.

Eine die mir empfohlen wurde und leider nicht so richtig überzeugt: the auf . Habe die Buchvorlage nicht gelesen und kann daher den Teil nicht vergleichen. Die Handlung beginnt interessant und die Sets sind gut. Aber leider verliert sich das ganze und die Handlung bleibt ohne ernstes Thema. Das Mysterium wird nie hinreichend aufrecht erhalten (oder aufgelöst). Auch C. spielt nur Standard. Leider kein Highlight.
