Anyone have a preferred method for physically disabling the microphone on an indoor security camera? (Wansview Q5)

I have the microphone turned off according to the app, but I'm getting audio feedback when I have the app running in the same room as the camera, so... I don't think it's really off.

Would polymer clay in the hole do the trick?

Imagine having a #security #camera & you hear a noise, or want to see what's going on outside of your house. So you open the software.

A bright white splash screen appears.

Then you're forced to watch an advertisement. You can't access your camera. You don't know what's happening outside. You're made to wait for a count down before tapping away from the ad.

Only then does it begin connecting to the cam.

That's a #wansview security #cam. Never, ever buy one.

Just ordered a replacement today.
