Funerary Bundle from the Wari/Huari culture, which lasted from 500-1000AD, from the Larco Museum in Lima, Peru.

The bodies of the dead, particularly of the elite, were wrapped and adorned, and placed into underground tombs, in order to become immortal ancestors within the afterlife.
