@aral does it have a #ScreenReader and/or #accessibility features? Their #website doesn’t take those of us who depend on such features into consideration- at least not with the settings that I use

trying to learn/absorb as much as possible about the culture/history/norms/expectations of the Fediverse community (& :mastodon:​), & wow, is there a lot. It's fascinating & maybe intimidating?

far back as can recall, been stumbling around w/ an undiagnosed/un-or-under-treated/unrecognized set of symptoms, which today seems a combo of AD/HD & social anxiety (aka social phobia)…so as I inevitably put my 👣 in my mouth (or choose words poorly), bear w/ me, pretty-please :sa_confused:​

Do folks share about work & career often? Or education? (or multiple career tracks?) In 2020 finished a masters in clinical mental health #counseling, w/ a psych undergrad before. :ablobspin:​ There's a little life lesson I'd like to offer, for anyone pursuing (effective) treatment or a(n accurate) diagnosis for 🧠​symptoms they're experiencing (foil-clad disclaimers notwithstanding), would encourage getting a 2nd diag/opinion. I failed to do this a couple of decades ago 🤦​ </hindsight>. Living with a misdiagnosis (& insufficient treatment) :blobfrowningbig:​:swearing:​

…mental health interests include evidence-based practices for grief/bereavement, animal-assisted intervention(s), EMDR, xPTS/D, psychodrama (aka theater-therapy), and (as soon as I can get some training): eco-therapy, which seems appealing

I've worked in tech for a couple of decades, only recently in mental health, (& find the intersection of the two interesting, h/t #apacid). I'm easily geeked-out by #virtualization & #emulation, also shared storage. Spinning up an :linuxmint: ​old/er :macos: ​OS or 1 which shouldn't be used :windows:​ even in a lab :msdos:​ just for fun :kde:​results in #warmFuzzies :crt_w_green_lines:​

for fedi folks who code...took an intro to :java:​ course 2 decades ago…haven't used much since. In early 2000's, did a lot w/ KiXtart (NT logon script; not the ESX script Kix lang), (do enjoy using ESX/i) (& QEMU, & Xen, & KVM...), NT batch scripts, some :javascript: some HTML, prolly oughtta be doing more w/ PowerShell, SQL, Python, IPv6... :blobshrug:​

Specialty seems to be breaking tech, (like a human-Bermuda-triangle). Fixing it is when it gets interesting.

Youngest of five, lost a sister to suicide around 2002. More nieces/nephews plus grand(____) than fingers can count…
