At only 16 years old, she was found dead in a #Warrington park in #Cheshire, #England on February 11, 2023.

My heart is crushed because the 15-year-old boy and girl determined by police to be responsible for her death, are only schoolchildren themselves.

There have been two vigils announced in Warrington for Brianna Ghey.

The first is on Friday at 6:30pm at Culcheth village green. This is very close to the park in which she was murdered.

There will be another vigil in Warrington town centre at the old marketplace at 4:30pm on Saturday, marking exactly a week since she was killed.

This is so incredibly sad. I wish the police wouldn’t make these ‘no evidence it’s a hate crime’ type statements as at this stage they simply can’t know. I’m not even clear what evidence they would expect to find.

But a 16 year old has lost her life. A girl - person - has died, savagely murdered. It hurts too to see how happy, but vulnerable, Brianna looks in the photo.

The stand out and big surprise of ‘Plenty’ was Burt Kwouk who played the Burmese ambassador. I only knew him as Cato from the Pink Panther movies. He was hilarious - walked away with the scene he was in. Truly an #actor who should have had a much bigger career, but his was a career (largely) before colour-blind casting. There's a rather charming footbridge over the Mersey at Warrington. The name Mersey conjures up thoughts of heavy industry and the grand romance of Liverpool but here it's genteel, with a rowing club and lush, wooded banks.
