One of my favorites from history is Kahina, Warrior Queen from 7th century Maghreb. She fended off the Muslim armies and managed to unite the entire Maghreb. She is the classic Berber warrior princess. I named a character in my first novel after her, in honor of her spirit. Today, if you are female and feisty, Berber guys will call you Kahina.

Whoa. I apparently woke up in Warrior Princess Mode. The Michelle Rodriguez kind in Girlfight, not the Dejah Thoris kind in The Princess of Mars. If I can tone it down to Xena, Warrior Princess, it might serve me better. Help.
