Had a fun walk searching for pawpaws with Chris and Stef this afternoon. We walked out to one of my fav small surf spots by Offut Island and I showed them what pawpaw tree leaves look like and how to spot pawpaws. We found some nice ones that easily fell off the trees, but they aren't ripe enough to eat. We may check again in a week or two. Hopefully, these will ripen in the boat 🤞.
Oh, we all found a spicebush and chewed on a few berries.

Good morning from the Washington Channel!
That was an amazing trip. Was awesome to spend time in Michigan's UP again. I need to do that more often.
It's always nice to be home, but lots of unpacking and organizing to do today. Since we appear to have a midday break in the storms, I'm also going to go hunting for pawpaws.

Neighbor from Gangplank Marina just sent me these photos of the fish market and said the old barges are being repositioned. My best guess is The Wharf is preparing to replace them with the barges being built down by the FDM Bridge.
