washpost has had it's very cool features.
My favorite was when it supported local DC area musicians with mp3.wahingtonpost.com, against the record label stride.
Paywalls aside (though I am a longstanding subscriber to washpost & a few local papers), journalists are the heart of democracy.

The #WashPost saying is "democracy dies in darkness." That is probably a good motto for journalists. But for all of us, I think a better motto is that #Democracy requires vigilance.

I am basically here to get news, maybe add a little opinion or 2 from my tiny unamplified corner of the world, and yes, occasionally get righteous anger. It feels a little chaotic (i had twitter organized into lists) and I'm too busy to study up on it. I guess I'll figure it out eventually. One of the things i didn't like about #Birdsite was paywalls blocking news stories and I'm sure that will happen here, too. Deciding on subs beyond #washpost and #nytimes --many favs
