Vaguely considering switching my #PineTime from #InfiniTime to #WaspOS to make it easier for me to hack on. The only thing I have in mind for it, though, is a Unix Epoch watch face.

can anyone recommend a decently open (software wise) smartwatch, my pebble finally died and I'm looking for a replacement.

I've looked at the #pinetime (and in turn #InfiniTime and #waspos) however, one of the features that I most miss from my pebble was a bcd watchface.

I might be annoyed that Weather Notification doesn't let you change the units if it actually displayed on #InfiniTime.

From what I've been able to tell so far, #InfiniTime is simply not very useful with any #Android distro except for #LineageOS because the #Gadgetbridge devs don't care about it. I've already bricked one #PineTime trying to load #WaspOS, so I'm afraid to try again, but it appears to be the more useful OS.

I guess I can give it a shot and then if I brick the second watch throw them both in the trash and get a #BangleJS?

Should I install #WaspOS?

I've been using #waspos for 12 hours now.
Bluetooth conn seems much more reliable than with #InfiniTime. UI is much slower though. 🐍

Oh, I should say that I'm happy with my #PineTime even at its current incomplete state. I agree with you that the work that has been done so far is quite impressive, by the #InfiniTime and #WaspOS people... And all for no monetary gain.

Which reminds me, I should take a note about donating.

#gadgetbridge with initial support for #waspos for #Pinetime and other nrf52 devices was released a few days ago on F-droid!
