Just returned from my trip to #India and it was sad to see the state of the environment, particularly in #NewDelhi. I came across a #mountain-like pile of #garbage just outside the city. It is not the only one, there are other similar looking garbage dumping sites in the area. The #AirQuality was alarmingly poor with the #AQI index reaching a dangerous 322. The #smog and #pollution were suffocating and made it difficult to breathe.

Disappointed #Vancouver City Council is set to abandon it's disposable cup waste reduction program. ABC seems more intent on pandering than making Vancouver a better place to live.

I've gotten really tired of having to buy new shoes ever year (sometimes more often) and did some digging into more durable every-day shoes. I ended up with Joe Nimble shoe that comes with 3 years warranty. The cost was about double of what I've normally paid for shoes. But if this lasts 3+ times as long, not only does it reduce waste considerably but is cheaper in the long run.

Remains to be seen. For now, all looking good.
