I live in a #Boston area suburb and this is the #wastewater data for my county. 😩

Levels are back up to what they were for almost all of 2022, when covid prevalence essentially hovered around a Delta-level plateau.

School district is silent. I am the only #masked person in stores.

I feel pretty hopeless. So many people are getting needlessly infected, many of whom will end up with chronic health issues.

Theory: Drop in #covid #wastewater levels in San Jose is the result of thousands there departing for the desert. (4 days after official start of BM. assumption: 3-4 day travel/processing time in sewers/plants before virus detectable)

Test of hypothesis: If true, and if it was a superspreader event, levels should start rising sharply around 9-10 September.

Day 2 of the new #school year and covid in #wastewater is predictably rising. 😩

Among a myriad of back-to-school emails, the school district has not mentioned covid even once. This year's policy is no policy at all. 😠

My kids report about 1-2% #masking rate (about 1-3 kids per grade).

I hate this timeline.
